Hardware compatibility

Supported DMX interfaces

SvetoMaster for Windows outputs DMX through USB interfaces and Ethernet gateways. This list separates built-in model support, compatibility through an industry-standard protocol, and hardware that is still being validated.

How to read this page

USB products often share the same FTDI or CH340 chip while speaking different DMX protocols. SvetoMaster may therefore show more than one choice for the same COM port. Select the entry that matches the protocol or model named below.

Built in
The family or model has a dedicated path in SvetoMaster.
Protocol compatible
The standard transport is supported; model identification can be manual.
Validation in progress
Do not rely on this connection until it moves to a supported group.

USB-DMX

Supported USB interfaces

USB output is one DMX universe per interface unless a device-specific row says otherwise.

Built in

Open DMX

Unbuffered FTDI/CH340 interfaces whose DMX timing is generated by the computer.

Choose in SvetoMaster: Open DMX or JMS USB2DMX PRO.

Built in

uDMX-compatible

V-USB interfaces that accept frames through uDMX-compatible control transfers.

  • uDMX and compatible devices (USB 16C0:05DC)
  • USBDMX512 / Sun-light / CYL family (USB 2008:1066)

Tip: plug the interface straight into a USB port on the computer. If it disconnects, SvetoMaster reconnects automatically.

Built in

Nicolaudie SIUDI

Interfaces used by Sunlite and Daslight, through the Nicolaudie Windows driver.

  • SIUDI7B (verified with real hardware)
  • SIUDI8A (confirmed in field use)
  • Compatible SIUDI devices exposed by the current Nicolaudie DHDK driver

Known exception: SIUDI7A firmware 1.20 is detected but cannot be opened by the current manufacturer SDK.

Validation in progress

DMXKING MAX-series USB. Their basic USB mode is ENTTEC Pro-compatible, but they connect as a standard USB serial port (CDC ACM) that the current build does not detect yet. Compatibility testing is underway; network models such as eDMX MAX can already be used over Art-Net and sACN.

Ethernet DMX

Art-Net and sACN nodes

Network compatibility follows the published Art-Net and ANSI E1.31 protocols, so it is not tied to one USB chip or one enclosure.

Built in

Art-Net

Output to standards-compliant Art-Net nodes, with node discovery, network diagnostics and multi-universe addressing. SvetoMaster universe 1 is sent as Art-Net 00:0:0; some nodes label this address universe 0, others universe 1.

Examples: DMXKING eDMX MAX, ENTTEC ODE / DIN Ethergate / Storm, PKNIGHT and generic Art-Net-to-DMX nodes.

Built in

sACN

Output through multicast sACN / ANSI E1.31, including consecutive universes from a configurable base universe. Unicast sACN is not available yet.

Examples: DMXKING eDMX MAX and any gateway or receiver that accepts standard sACN data.

Scope

What “supported” means

Included

Continuous DMX512 output from SvetoMaster, reconnection handling, and diagnostics appropriate to the transport.

Not included yet

DMX input, RDM, firmware updates, and manufacturer-specific device configuration over USB.

One app at a time

A USB interface or COM port can normally be opened by only one lighting application. Close vendor utilities before connecting.

Your model is not listed?

Let us verify it

If your interface uses one of the protocols above, it may already work even when its product name is not shown. Send the exact model, USB VID:PID or Art-Net node details, and the protocol documentation. We can add model-specific identification after validation.
