Working without the internet

The program can work without a network — shows often take place where there’s no internet, and that’s been accounted for. A connection is only needed occasionally: the program has to contact the server from time to time to refresh its data.

How it works:

  • After each time you go online, you have a reserve of offline days (about a month) — the program works fully without a network for all that time.
  • Any connection to the internet for a few minutes refreshes the reserve — the counter starts over.
  • If the reserve is completely used up, the program will ask you to connect to a network and won’t work until then.
📍 Where: when a noticeable part of the reserve is used up, a ⏱ badge with the number of days remaining appears in the header (orange; red and blinking when ≤3 days are left). Clicking the badge gives an explanation. The same “Offline” counter is visible in the Account window.

What to do when the badge appears:

  1. Just connect your computer to the internet for a few minutes (any network — even a phone hotspot will do).
  2. The program contacts the server itself — the badge disappears and the days reserve is restored.
💡 Tip: if you’re heading out on a long tour with no network, launch the program with the internet on before you leave.
⚠️ Note: don’t sign out of your account while you’re offline — signing back in requires contact with the server. Offline mode only works within a sign-in that’s already been completed.
💡 Tip: the AI features (the PRO add-on) require the internet at the moment of use. Everything else (scenes, chases, Live, DMX output) can work offline for no more than a month.
