Profile Library

The library is the easiest way to add a fixture: instead of configuring channels by hand, you find your model in a ready-made database and add it in a single click. The database holds thousands of fixtures, and it keeps growing with profiles contributed by other users.

📍 Where: “Add fixture” → “From the library” (on the Patch tab or in “Prog”).

How to find and add a fixture:

  1. Type the name or manufacturer into the search box (for example, “Beam 230” or “Chauvet”).
  2. If you like, narrow the list with the type filter (Heads, Pars, Strobes, Lasers, Fog machines, Effects).
  3. Click “Add” (built-in database) or “Download” (community profile) — the fixture appears in the Patch.

Two sources in one list:

Built-in database Thousands of profiles (OFL / QLC+ / FreeStyler), bundled with the app, works offline, instant search. Each profile has a source icon.
From the community Profiles shared by other users (internet required). You can see the status, the number of 👍 ratings, downloads and the author.
💡 Tip: if the same model appears both in the built-in database and in the community — take the built-in one (it has already been checked by a moderator and the community). The app hides duplicates automatically.
⚠️ Note: some built-in profiles may have a ⚠️ icon next to them — this marks possible inaccuracies in the profile. The fixture will still be added, but it’s worth verifying the channels in the editor.

Your own profiles (.svf) and the folder they live in

The “My profiles (.svf)” list holds the profiles you saved yourself (the “Save profile” button in the fixture editor). By default they are kept in the DocumentsSvetoMasterProfiles folder.

Above the list you see the path to that folder and a “change folder” link — you can point it at any folder of your own: a shared studio folder, a folder on a flash drive or in the cloud. After the change the app both reads and saves profiles there. The “back to the default folder” link next to it takes you back.

💡 Tip: your own folder is handy when you need the profiles on several computers — put it on a cloud drive and every machine will see the same set.

Rating community profiles

Community profiles can and should be rated — it helps everyone else pick a good one:

  • The ★ button on a profile → 👍 “Works” or 👎 “Has problems” (you can add a comment).
  • After you download a community profile, the app will prompt you to rate it.
💡 Tip: can’t find your fixture in the database? Buttons for “other ways” appear at the bottom: recognize from a photo (AI), build it in the constructor, or create an empty profile and configure it manually. And once you have a good profile of your own, you can give it back to the database — the “Share with others” button in the editor.
