At the bottom of the left column are two small info readouts: the performance timer “Show” and the connection indicator “DMX”. They don’t control anything, but they help you stay on top of things: how long the program has been running and whether the light is actually reaching the fixtures.
The “Show” timer
Shows how long the performance has been running.
- It starts automatically the first time you launch any scene — the count begins on its own, with no special button to press.
- The time is shown in M:SS format (or H:MM:SS once it passes an hour).
- The ↻ button under the timer resets and restarts the count (for example, at the start of a new set).
💡 Tip: while no scene is running, the timer shows
00:00 in grey. As soon as the light goes live, the digits turn green and the count starts.The “DMX” indicator
Shows whether there is a connection to the DMX device and how stable the signal is.

⚠️ Note: if the indicator shows OFFLINE, check the adapter connection and the driver (covered in the “Hardware” section). While the status is red, nothing you do in Live will reach the real fixtures.
💡 Tip: the number in hertz (Hz) is the light refresh rate. The steadier and higher it is, the smoother your transitions and effects run. Sharp drops can indicate a heavy load on the computer.
