Picture this: the number is over and you need to kill all the light instantly. The “Blackout” button does exactly that — it shuts everything off with a single press, without disrupting your scenes and chases.
📍 Where: Live → the left-hand “Master” block → the red power-icon button (⏻) below the fader.
How to use it:
- Press the blackout button or the Space key.
- All the light goes out instantly. The button starts pulsing an alarming red — a visible reminder that you’re in blackout.
- Press it again (or Space again) — the light comes back exactly as it was.
It’s important to understand: blackout does not stop what’s playing. Scenes, chases and effects keep running “under the hood” — their output is simply zeroed. Clear the blackout and the picture is back on the screen, at whatever phase it had reached.
💡 Tip: keep a finger near Space during a performance — this is your “emergency button” for any surprise.
⚠️ Warning: while blackout is on, the Grand Master and other brightness controls don’t reach the fixtures — the program will warn you. That’s normal: just clear the blackout first.
