Installation and First Launch

SvetoMaster is a Windows application that turns your computer into a lighting console: you control DMX fixtures (spotlights, moving heads, lasers, fog machines) with the mouse and keyboard, with a 3D preview of the scene.

Installation:

  1. Download the installer from the official website udmx.net (a file named like SvetoMaster-Setup.exe). Beware of downloading files from other sites — the original, safe SvetoMaster installer is available only at udmx.net.
  2. Run it and follow the steps of the wizard. The program installs into your personal user folder — administrator rights are not required.
  3. When it finishes, a SvetoMaster shortcut appears on the Desktop and in the Start menu.
💡 Tip: on the first launch of the installer, Windows SmartScreen may ask for confirmation — this is a standard warning for new programs. Click “More info → Run anyway”.

First launch:

  1. The branded splash screen and program loading will appear.
  2. A sign-in screen comes up: enter the email and password of your udmx.net account (or register on the website).
  3. After signing in, the program offers an app tour — a short walkthrough of the interface. We recommend taking it: 2–3 minutes, and you’ll find your way around the main areas. You can return to it at any time: the Help → App tour menu.

What to do next (a beginner’s route):

  1. Connect a USB-DMX adapter (you can do this later too — without it, everything works in the visualizer).
  2. Add your fixtures to the Patch.
  3. Place them according to your venue layout.
  4. Set up your first lighting look in the Programmer and save it as a scene.
  5. Build a chase — and run the show from Live.
💡 Tip: you don’t need to own fixtures to experiment — add them from the library and watch the result in the 3D visualizer. This way you can prepare the whole show at home and just connect the adapter at the venue.
