Over the course of a performance, a lot of “live” edits pile up on the console: submasters are raised, the crossfader is moved, a Solo or Mute is on somewhere, a color filter is applied, the strobe or blinder is lit, the speed multiplier is changed. The “Reset” button removes all of these overlays in one move and returns the console to a clean state.
How to use it:
- Press and hold the “Reset” button for about 1 second. The button fills with red from left to right — that’s the hold indicator.
- When the fill reaches the end, all live overlays are cleared and the message “Live overrides cleared” appears.
- Release the button too early and nothing happens (see below).
Exactly what gets reset:
| Reset | Left untouched |
|---|---|
| Submasters, crossfader | A running scene |
| Solo / Mute | A running chase |
| Color filter | Active effects |
| Strobe / blinder / smoke | |
| Speed multiplier |
Important: “Reset” is not a “show stop.” The scene, chase and effects keep running; you’re just quickly returning the console itself to zero.
If you do need a full stop, use “Fixtures → Reset all.” It zeroes the fixtures and at the same time drops the scene, the chase, the effects, the submasters, the crossfader (including a GO transition already under way), Solo/Mute, the color filter, the speed multiplier and the automatic smoke cycle. It deliberately does not switch off an engaged Strobe, Blinder or Smoke button: while the button is engaged there must be light under it — switch it off the usual way and the fixtures go to zero. Console setup is kept as well: submaster assignments and the crossfader’s A/B scenes stay in place, only their values go to zero.
