A scene is a “snapshot” of the light: the remembered state of all fixtures (color, brightness, head positions, gobo). Launch a scene and the program sets every fixture to that state at once. Scenes are the main building block: chases and playlists are built from them, and you launch them in Live too.
How to create a scene:
- In the Programmer, set the light the way you want to remember it: select fixtures, set the color, brightness and positions.
- Click “+ Scene”, enter a name (for example, “Red” or “Artist entrance”) and save.
- The scene appears in the list. Click it to launch (the fixtures jump to that state); click again to turn it off. When a scene is turned off, the fixtures return to the light they had before it was launched (head positions stay where they are — no jumps). The effects and head movement the scene carries are removed with it — whichever way you turn it off: another click, the cross in the “Active” bar, or releasing the flash button.
What a scene has:
| Element | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | How the scene is labeled in the list |
| ★ Favorite | The star — the scene goes into favorites (handy for Live) |
| Data | The remembered state of each fixture (color/brightness/position/gobo) |
Launching with a smooth transition. Scenes don’t replace each other abruptly but smoothly — over the transition time (Fade). The larger it is, the more gently the light “flows”. The time is controlled in Live (Fade Time) and in the Programmer.
Delete several at once. To avoid deleting them one by one: hold Ctrl and click scenes — they get selected (highlighted with a frame); Shift+click selects everything in a row from the first to the second. Then press Delete (or right-click → “Delete selected”) — all the selected ones are removed at once, with a single confirmation. A normal click (without Ctrl/Shift) still just launches the scene and clears the selection. The same works in the chase, preset and playlist lists.
