The program menu and interface scale

At the top of the window is a classic menu bar: File · Edit · View · Fixtures · Settings · Help. It gives you access to everything that’s scattered across the interface buttons, plus a few things found nowhere else — for example, scale.

A quick map of the menu:

Menu The main things inside
File Projects: new/open/save, QLC+ import, restore from backup
Edit Undo/Redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y), cut/copy/paste/delete fixtures
View Switching modes, scale, the Interface… window, fullscreen (F11)
Fixtures Patch, adding, the library, import, fixture learning
Settings Main settings, password protection, license and account
Help Documentation (F1), keyboard shortcuts, application log, App tour, About (version), check for updates

Interface scale

If the elements look too small (a 4K monitor) or, conversely, don’t fit (a small screen), scale the whole interface:

Command Keys
Zoom in +10% Ctrl + ↑
Zoom out −10% Ctrl + ↓
Standard (100%) Ctrl + 0
Auto (fit to screen) — (the “View” menu)
💡 Tip: start with “Auto (fit to screen)” — the program picks the scale for your monitor itself. The current percentage is shown right in the “View” menu. The chosen scale is remembered.

ℹ️ On a laptop, the two-finger “pinch” gesture on the touchpad does not change the scale of the whole interface (this used to happen by accident and broke the layout). Scale is now set only through the commands above. In the visualizer window, however, the pinch/wheel still zooms the 3D stage picture itself — that’s a separate zoom and doesn’t touch the interface.
